About Me |
|
Claudia Chapman I became hooked on quilting after I took an introductory class through the local community college. That class led to more advanced classes, and quickly grew into a love for quilting. After a few quilts and the labor of actually “quilting” a large quilt (the one hanging in the background in the picture on the right) I got interested in machine quilting, or “long-arming” to speed up the process. After a lot of research and thought I purchased an “A1 longarm machine” and began the long learning process. After many months of experimentation, training, and practice, I began to take on customer quilting projects. From day one, I’ve continually strived to advance my skills and capabilities, all the while seeking out new techniques to make my customer’s quilts look their best. My work ranges from simple quilting to complex, intricate, custom projects. From the technique and the pattern to the thread color, I enjoy working with customers to determine the right design for each of their quilts. I focus on high-quality custom machine quilting. While my “A1” does the stitching, I hand guide the machine through it's paces adding that personal touch that you are seeking. No two designs, and no two quilts are exactly the same. I personally quilt each of my customer’s quilts.
